"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."
-- Psalm 116:15
Dear Prayer Partners and Supporters,
As we wrap up celebrating what would have been Tony's birthday month, our hearts are full -- full of remembrance, full of gratitude, and yes, still full of grief. It's hard to believe that this is the first prayer letter we're sending since his homegoing in March. The words have taken time -- not just because of the pain, but because a life like Tony's deserves more than just an update.
Tony lived and died doing what he loved most: preaching the gospel and pouring out the Word of God to a hurting world. His final moments were spent on stage, Bible in hand, spirit on fire. We couldn't have written a more faithful ending if we tried. And while our pain is deep, so too is the legacy he left behind. Since his transition, stories have poured in -- testimonies from around the world of hearts stirred, lives changed, and callings answered because of his obedience.
This month, we choose to honor him not with tears alone, but with action -- continuing the work of Petals of Hope International, the ministry he and I built hand in hand in Liberia. His dream was never about recognition -- it was always about transformation through Christ. Though he is no longer with us, the work goes on. It must go on.
PHI-2 High School Construction
In December 2024, we broke ground on the future home of PHI-2 High School -- an answered prayer years in the making. Construction is underway and projected for completion by September 2025. We are actively raising funds not only to complete the building but also to furnish classrooms, provide teacher salaries, and supply essential materials. $58,000 was still needed to complete the first floor. This expansion will allow us to reach even more students with quality, Christ-centered education.
Second School Bus Purchased
With enrollment growing rapidly, dependable transportation has become essential. By God's grace and your support, we recently purchased a second school bus -- a tremendous blessing! We raised the remaining funds needed to ship the vehicle from Minnesota to Liberia. This bus ensures safe, consistent access to school for students who live beyond walking distance.
Critical Road Repairs
The road to our PHI girls' school had severely deteriorated, leading to repeated breakdowns of our original bus. Road repair became a top priority. We fundraised to pave this route before the new school year. Ensuring safe, reliable transportation is vital for our students' daily journey and overall wellbeing.
As we press on together by faith, we continue to witness God's hand in every trial and triumph. Adversity, loss, and delay have tested us -- but they have also anchored us more deeply in trust. This remains our prayer: that out of the ashes of grief, God would raise up a harvest of hope -- not only for our family, but for every life touched through this ministry. Thank you for standing with us in love, prayer, and partnership. God is faithful, and we remain expectant for all He has yet to do.
