Remembering Tony Weedor and Continuing the Mission

Tony Weedor's life was marked by quiet faithfulness, deep love for the people of Liberia, and an unwavering belief that God could do the impossible through ordinary people who simply said yes.

Born in Liberia, Tony eventually made his home in the United States, but he never forgot the children back home. Together with his wife Elizabeth, he founded Petals of Hope International - not as a grand organizational launch, but as a faithful response to a need that was too urgent to ignore.

Tony wasn't a man who sought attention. He preferred working behind the scenes, making sure the details were right, trusting that God would take care of the rest. He led with humility, loved with consistency, and gave with a generosity that went far beyond finances.

Though Tony is now with the Lord, the work he helped start is very much alive. Every student who walks into a Petals of Hope classroom benefits from the seeds Tony planted. Every prayer lifted on behalf of this ministry echoes the faithfulness he modeled.

Elizabeth carries the mission forward - not alone, but surrounded by a community of supporters, staff, and students who share the same vision Tony lived for.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

- Jeremiah 29:11
