In December 2024, Petals of Hope International broke ground on the PHI-2 High School building -- a project years in the making and a direct answer to countless prayers. The moment marked the beginning of a new chapter for the ministry, one that will expand access to Christ-centered secondary education for students in Liberia.
Why This Building Matters
Petals of Hope Girls Academy has provided quality primary education since 2017. But for graduating students, the path forward was limited -- few affordable, safe secondary school options existed nearby. PHI-2 High School will change that.
The building is designed to serve 7th through 12th grade students across two full floors of classrooms. When complete, it will allow the ministry to educate a student from kindergarten all the way through high school graduation.
Progress and Needs
By the end of 2024, the foundation had been poured and the first-floor walls were under construction. The team projected completion of the first floor by mid-2025, with $58,000 still needed at the time to reach that milestone.
Every gift to the Build the Future campaign goes directly toward construction, classroom furnishings, and teacher salaries -- everything needed to open these doors to students.
